Hello everybody. I wanted to apologize to being MIA for so long. I am in the process of finishing up school and graduating college, but now that I have a break, I will be back posting new content, every week.
Keep it locked here and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
Here at DAY 7, we like to take a chance to look around the world at culture, trends, influencers, and what they are doing.

VSOP & Akomplice Spring/Summer Lookbook
With Colorado’s Escalante Canyon as their backdrop, Mike and Patrick Liberty bring both of their brands—Akomplice and VSOP—together for their latest lookbook. Modeled by Paul Kimpling of the Colorado Forest Service, the lookbook serves to display the range of each brand’s Spring/Summer offerings, while showcasing the belief that “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” (Leonardo da Vinci). Visualized as a complement to the grassland and red rock desert surroundings, the lookbook vignette functions as a symbol for the brand’s connection to, and appreciation of minimalism and nature’s intrinsic symmetry. Shot in their Colorado backyard, the lookbook functions as a meditative and transportive experience for the viewer. This sentiment emanates from Mike and Patrick's belief in a conscious balanced work approach, which is why they allow their employees to have remote work periods and daily meditation.

While VSOP centers on silhouette development and material selection, the crux of Akomplice is bold and in-your-face patterns. The common thread among each brand is a sustainable approach to production. Made using organic cotton and recycled polyester, Mike and Patrick set an industry standard from a material footprint perspective. Holding to the belief that art is made when love, passion and vision are the driving forces in creation, Mike and Patrick look to other young creatives in love with their craft for inspiration. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar, Mike and Patrick look to adjust the industry paradigm by putting passion ahead of profit.
Their Spring deliveries are available now via the Akomplice webstore, with each brand’s Summer delivery set to drop worldwide on June 26th.

Akomplice x South of France
Both independently owned and operated and both hailing from Colorado, Akomplice and indie rock band South of France came together through a mutual admiration for creation. Akomplice and South of France’s collaborative range includes a duffel bag, field notebook and the coup de grace, a custom white 45 record featuring the band’s unreleased single “Washed Out” on the B side, and "Civilization" on the A side.
The collaboration came to fruition when Jeff Cormack previewed Akomplice owners, Mike and Patrick Liberty, his "Washed out" single. Drawing inspiration from the custom one of one Louis Vuitton luggage set featured in Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited, each piece features an array of safari themed animals and wildlife. In addition to the collaborative product, the two have also released an animal-inspired lookbook featuring Kelly and Jeff Cormack of South of France in exotic environs.

Through their latest capsule collection, Akomplice continues to display their creative range transitioning seamlessly from the world of hip-hop to indie rock.
The collection, including the 45 record, will drop February 11th at 11pm EST on the Akomplice webstore. The songs are also available on iTunes for digital purchase and on Spotify for streaming via Jeff's label, Play + Record.

IRON CURTAIN PRESS
I have been indulging recently in the wonderful world of stationary. There have been many brands that I have come across, but none have caught my eye more than Iron Curtain Press.
I discovered Iron Curtain Press while shopping at The LAB in Costa Mesa at a shop called As Issued.
Iron Curtain Press originated in beautiful Seattle, Washington (if you go to Seattle, also check out Cafe Lulu!) and moved down to Los Angeles, California. Iron Curtain Press does a lot of their own original cards, office supplies, patches, and cell phone cases. Along with that, they also do custom work for those wanting custom stationary and greeting cards.
For more information, go check out their website and maybe even pick up a card for someone special!
