Troi Breeze- The Wave Tape

I had the chance to talk with one of our good friends of the Day 7 blog, Inland Empire rapper Troi Breeze. Breeze just released his EP called "The Wave Tape".

Q: What is the name of your EP?

A: "The Wave Tape"

Q: What is the story behind your cover?

A: The cover of "The Wave Tape" was inspired by the story of Noah's Arc. In the story Noah warned people that a great flood was on its way and to prepare themselves. They didn't understand until it was too late. The cover is a visual warning of the new sound I am bringing to Hip Hop. The umbrella in my hand represents preparation. I know what is yet to come and I'm prepared for it.

A: What is the inspiration behind this EP?

Q: I was inspired to make this EP because I felt like there was a void in Hip Hop music. Too many people recycle each other's flows and emulate each other's sound. People don't want to ride their own wave. So I started my own wave by creating a new sound. The purpose of this tape is to disrupt the cloning cycle in my generation.

Q: What collabs are on the EP?

A: The EP features production from Deedotwill (Twitter: @Deedotwill) and a guest verse from artist Mann (Twitter: @Mann) on track number 4, "Rich Right Now". The rest of the production and bars on the project were all my own doing.

Q: Can we be expecting any music video(s) soon?

A: Definitely.

Q: What is next?

A: More production from me, more shows and visual content surrounding the EP.

Q: Anything else you would like to share?

A: I appreciate everyone who supported "The Wave Tape" via iTunes, Google Play, Xbox, bootleg, etc.
